Scott A. Hiera is a sole practitioner
who is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois and in Federal Court. He has successfully resolved
hundreds of cases through settlement, arbitration, and trial. Mr. Hiera has represented clients throughout Illinois,
including the counties of McHenry, Cook, Lake, DuPage, Kane, Boone, Carroll, and Macoupin. The scope of his practice
includes personal injury, medical malpractice and family law.

his clients from large defendants such as Daimler Chrysler, Menards, Advocate Health & Hospitals Corporation, Proviso
Family Services, Corp. d/b/a Resurrection Behavioral Health. Whether the defendant is a large corporation, or represented by a large and prominent defense firm, no defendant has been too large or too prominent
for Mr. Hiera.
Prior to being admitted to the Illinois State Bar
in May of 2003, Mr. Hiera was a Firefighter/Paramedic as well as a Police Officer. Working in those two professions
came with an immense amount of education. Mr. Hiera has had hundreds of hours of academic and practical education in
emergency medicine as well as hundreds of hours of academic law enforcement education including attending Northwestern
University's Traffic Institute in Evanston, Illinois for vehicle accident investigation. Combining this education
with a Bachelor's of Science degree from Southern Illinois University and his Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College
of Law, Mr. Hiera has a rather unique legal perspective into the personal injury cases that he represents.
Mr. Hiera has always been civic-minded and enjoys helping others. He was in the
United State's Navy and served on the nuclear submarine, James K. Polk, SSBN 645; worked on Appalachain Service Projects;
Organized Local 3892 of The International Association of Firefighters and was their first President; was a mentor in the Mentor/Mentee
program and Chicago-Kent College of Law; Served as a member of the Board of Directors of Big Brothers Big Sisters of McHenry
County; and is a former member of the Board of Directors for the Lexi Kazian Foundation, Helping from Heaven, an organization
helping special needs children and their families. Also of interest, is that Mr. Hiera joined MENSA at the age of 19.
